Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to congratulate our Yr 5 and 6 students and teachers on the wonderful Mission Fete they planned and facilitated. The fete was very well organised with a variety of stalls. Funds raised on the day were around $800 which will be given to Catholic Missions. This was a great community effort. Well done everyone!
Kinder 2019 Orientation
Last Friday, we welcomed our Kinder class for 2019. The Pre-Schoolers settled very well. When Miss Halls announced that it was time to pack up because parents are on their way, one of boys said, “But we haven’t done any work!” What great mindsets have already been established.
Semester 2 reports will go home next Wednesday, December 12. Optional Parent/Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday, December 18. Bookings can be made online Wednesday 12th December via a link in next week's Newsletter.
This Friday we have an Awards Assembly. The value awards will reflect our vision of “being centred in faith”.
Home Reading Program
Week 8 is the last week for home readers.
Christmas Hampers for St Vincent de Paul
Notes have been given to all the children with a suggested food item for donation to the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers. The hampers are distributed by the St Vincent de Paul Conference of our Parish to families in our local area who are in need. Often these families are living in hardship due to disability, sickness or old age or because of circumstances such as single parenting, low income or loss of work.
Thank you very much for all the donations that have come in so far. Donations can be made until Wednesday 12 December (Week 9) and be placed in the box provided in the children's classroom. Please ensure food items are not due to expire for at least six months. If you are able to donate any additional items, they will be very gratefully received.
We will present the Christmas Hampers to Monica Phelan, delegate of our parish St Vincent de Paul, after the Kinder Nativity on Friday, 14 December.
Many thanks once again for your generosity.
