Science Week

This week we celebrated Science week. Each class is being given the opportunity to learn about species and their survival. They will participate in a Science quiz as well. More information can be found in this newsletter and from your child.

Book Week- Reading Is Magic

Next week we are celebrating book week beginning on Monday with our book character parade at 9am. I hope to see many families dressed in character also. This will be held in the courtyard. Please ensure children have shoes they can still play safely in during break times.

Please respond to the invitation through COMPASS to attend Snuggle Up and Read on Tuesday night. This opt-in event is held in the library between 5:30pm and 7pm. Parents must attend with their child/ren. Children can wear comfortable clothes, bring their own book to read or borrow from the library.

Please notify us of your attendance or decline the event through COMPASS events.

Tell Them From Me Annual Survey

Please access the survey link that is available in a COMPASS notification sent earlier this week. It will also be in your child’s weekly update this week. The survey closes Friday August 23^rd. We value your feedback which enables us to celebrate our achievements and provide us with opportunities to consider in terms of growth for our school community.

Faith In Learning Catholic Education Excellence Awards

Congratulations to Gwen Tarleton and Karen Tozer who were recognised last Thursday at Saint Christopher’s Cathedral for their accomplishments and recognition as Highly Accomplished Lead Teachers.

Luke Donnelly was also recognised for his achievements and for having been a Highly Accomplished Lead Teacher for ten years.

Enjoy the longer days and warmer climate which hopefully continues as we move closer to Spring.
