Athletics Carnival

Today we had a glorious Autumn day for our Athletics Carnival. The children showed great team and school spirit, encouraging more to participate in races and events as well as cheering for their peers. Thank you to our teachers: Mrs McPadden, Ms McQuirk, Ms O’Donnell and Mr West for organising the day which ran very smoothly and efficiently. Thank you also to our numerous parent volunteers; without you we couldn’t run a carnival and we greatly appreciate your support and contribution to our event.

North Gungahlin Cross Country
This Friday 38 of our students will compete at Mt Stromlo. We wish them well and encourage them to do their best.

Uniforms
Our recommended supplier is Lowes and our uniform policy featured in last week's newsletter and is available on our website. Please do not purchase items that are not on this list. We expect our students to take pride in their appearance and that includes wearing the correct uniform. Tights under shorts/skirts and navy tracksuit pants are not part of our Winter uniform. Please contact the office if you are having difficulty sourcing the correct items.

From June 1 students may wear a navy beanie instead of their school hat. A navy coat and/ or scarf can be worn. Navy is the permitted colour.

¾ White have been thoroughly enjoying our novel study on Uncle Xbox by Jared Thomas. We have been learning how to extend our sentences using adverbial phrases to write like authors. 

We have also been have a great time refining our tennis skills with Coach Dan on Wednesdays.
