Community Council Open Meeting
We held our first Community Council Open Meeting in the library last night with several parents in attendance. The meeting was an opportunity to evaluate the implementation of our Parent Engagement Coordinator, discuss the development of potentially accessing the Campbell Primary Canteen and formulate 5 talking points to support our families in promoting St Thomas More's in the wider community. It was a productive conversation that will result in further improvements to our community. We would encourage all members of our community to consider attending our next Community Council Open Meeting on Tuesday 25 June from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
Enrolment Period - Open Days
We are heading into the enrolment period for 2025 with the first of three open days being held next Wednesday from 9:30-11:00am. In the coming week we will be giving each family a handful of flyers to distribute as you see fit - these may be to local families in your community considering enrolment in Kinder or a change of educational setting, to colleagues at work or on local shopping notice boards. We know that the greatest impact on school enrolments is word of mouth so would encourage all of our families to spread the word about St Thomas More's.
Classroom Refurbishments
We have almost finished our refurbishments with the entire school now being painted internally and 3 more classrooms to have their autex installed. This has been a great renewal of the classrooms as they now feel much brighter, larger and more modernised. It is hoped they will all be finished by our first Open Morning next Wednesday.
