Grandparents Day
It was a lovely sunny morning last Friday for our annual Grandparents Day. We needed all of the chairs in the hall to be put out for this large event! A real highlight was the Centred In Faith Gathering led so confidently by Kindergarten followed by a procession of our visitors through the courtyard as our students waved their palms in a reenactment of Palm Sunday. Thank you to Kristy Poole, Skye McPadden, Ariana Strmota and our Year 2 families for making this day such a success.
Sacrament of Reconciliation
Congratulations to all those students in our school how received the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturday. Thank you to our families who spent time preparing their children for the sacrament through our parish based sacramental program. Thank you also to Christopher Evans our parish sacramental coordinator, Skye McPadden, Reuban West and Ariana Strmota for their engagement in this important event.
Easter Weekend
As we continue through Holy Week we wish all of our families a blessed and holy Easter as we remember the great sacrifice Jesus gave to us on the cross and through the resurrection. Our teachers, through the guidance of Skye McPadden, have supported their student in understanding the reason for this important part of our liturgical calendar through daily prayer, explicit instruction around Lent and Holy Week and through our Centred in Faith Gatherings. Whilst it is lovely to indulge in some chocolate this Sunday, let’s all do it knowing the impact this ritual has for us our Catholic Faith.
