Interim Reports and Parent Teacher Meetings
Parent Teacher Interviews
It has been so lovely to see so many families entering the school gates to meet with their children's teacher to discuss how their child's start to the year has been, the work habits they are showing and any social or academic goals that they need to work on. Thank you to the teachers for their professionalism and commitment to these important conversations.
NAPLAN
Next Wednesday to Friday our Years 3 and 5 students will engage in NAPLAN testing for 2023. This is the first year that NAPLAN has moved to Term One so that families and schools are able to receive results more promptly. We know that NAPLAN is a snapshot in time and that all of our students will give it their best.
Cuppa at the Gate
It was a wonderful sunny morning to have a coffee on Monday morning and to meet new faces. Our Community Council made it a priority to bring back Cuppa at the Gate as a way of engaging with our community and giving families the opportunity to get much-needed uniforms from the clothing pool. Thank you to Skye Keatinge and Narelle Luchetti for their organisation of the event, to TeamKids for providing chocolate milk for the students, and to Angela Kelley for running the clothing pool. We are planning to get the clothing pool out again in Week 10 so that families can prepare for the winter uniform.
Parent Contact Opt-In
We are pleased to announce that we now have a Parent Contact Coordinator for each class. The Parent Contact Coordinator is responsible for distributing parent contacts for families who have opted in to share their details. They will also support the class in the coordination of a whole school event.
Providing your details will enable you to connect with your children's friends and engage in social activities outside of school events. All whole class events will still be advertised through weekly updates and communication through Compass so that families who choose not to share their personal information will not miss out on key events.
We would ask you all to consider opting into the parent contact distribution list. The google forms will be shared with the parent contact to distribute to classes in the coming weeks.
KINDERGARTEN OPT-IN FORM
Working Bee
Our Working Bee is in just over two weeks on Saturday 25 March. We are hoping to achieve many jobs during the morning and will need as many helpers as possible. This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in parental engagement within our community and ensure our school looks as good as it feels! Please follow the QR code to complete the form for catering and organisational purposes.
Grandparents Day
Don't forget to save the date for Grandparents Day on Friday 24 March. Our Grandparents and Special Friends will gather in Holy Faith Hall at 8:50 am for a Centred in Faith Gathering followed by classroom visits and morning tea. This year we have invited parishioners to adopt a grandchild for those students who may not have a Grandparent or Special Friend attend. Thank you to Year 2 who will be hosting the morning tea on the day.
