Welcome to Term 3. We are now half way through our school year and looking forward to the fabulous learning that will take place in the coming months.
COVID Measures
You would have read the letter from our Director about the COVID measures we need to put in place due to the predictions of extremely high rates of infection that is likely to occur in the next few weeks. This letter was sent on Monday afternoon. The measures we need to introduce are to protect our students and staff and to ensure that learning can continue, and our school remains open.
We will follow directions from CE and where possible, still host events for the children, however, unfortunately at this stage, parents will not be able to attend.
Communication
Communication with teachers is available through email and online meetings. Please email teachers if you wish to speak with them about your child’s learning and development. Likewise, our teachers will still communicate with you and arrange a meeting over Teams should they need to. We ask you to continue to read the weekly updates our classroom teachers send and our newsletter to inform you of what is happening at school.
School Photos – Tuesday July 26th
Next Tuesday each child will have their photo taken individually and with their class. Siblings will also have a photo. Ordering is through the COMPASS app.
We look forward to seeing your children all spruced up on Tuesday in full Winter uniform, neat and tidy, hair styled with correct school colour accessories and wearing a beautiful smile.

We hope to enjoy many festivities to celebrate authors, illustrators, characters and books. We plan to host a book fair in Week 5 where children can purchase books for home. We get a commission from the sales to buy books for the library.
More details to follow.

World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly
Sunday 24th July 2022 is the Second World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.
Pope Francis has chosen the theme “In old age they will still bear fruit” (Ps 92) and calls us all to reflect on how grandparents and the elderly bear fruit in our world.
I have included below the prayer for the 2nd World Day for Grandparents and Elderly below should you wish to use it.
PRAYER FOR THE SECOND WORLD DAY FOR GRANDPARENTS AND THE ELDERLY
I give thanks to you, Lord, for the blessing of a long life
For, to those who take refuge in You, grant always to bear fruit.
Forgive, O Lord, resignation and disillusionment,
But forsake me not when my strength declines.
Teach me to look with hope to the future you give me,
To the mission you entrust to me and to sing your praises without end.
Make me a tender craftsman of Your revolution,
To guard with love my grandchildren and all the little ones who seek shelter in You.
Protect, O Lord, Pope Francis and grant Thy Church
To deliver the world from loneliness.
Direct our steps in the way of peace.
Amen.
Yours in Christ,
Samantha Mance
