Wow! It is so hard to believe that Term One is coming to an end. What an exciting term of learning for our students, professional growth for our teachers and seeing our school environment start to reflect the beautiful community we know we are. I am so excited to drive to school each day and look forward to continuing to get to know all of you as the year progresses. We wish you all a happy and Holy Easter.
Working Bee
Thank you so much to the parents and parishioners who came out in the rain to move 30 cubic meters of mulch, plant plants and clean our courtyard. The school is looking very revitalised and ready for the next stage of the Ground Renewal Project which includes new line marking in our basketball court and murals on our blank walls.
Term 2 Commences for Students on Wednesday 27 April
The first day of next term will be a pupil free day to allow staff to engage in professional development. Therefore students will commence on Wednesday 27 April. Teams Kids will be providing holiday care on Tuesday should you require care for your children.
Parent Contacts
An expression of interest was sent for parent contacts in last week's newsletter. If you are interested in being the parent contact for your child's class, please contact Julie at the front office.
COVID Update
ACT Health advice has not yet been updated for school in Term 2, and today, we were advised that any updates will be published in Week 1 of next term. This means that at this stage, we are unable to confirm if parents will be able to come on-site for our ANZAC Day Service and Mother's Day. Please be assured that we will do all that we can to recognise these events whilst adhering to all health advice.

Covid restrictions permitting, STM plans to hold a Mother's Day Breakfast hosted by Year 3/4 parents on Friday 6 May. A Mother's Day Raffle will also be held and we are calling for donations as soon as we return from school holidays. Ideas for the basket include: candles, soaps, scarves, nail polish, jams and chutneys, cosmetics, room spray, spice blends, gift certificates, chocolates, biscuits or wine - but don't let this list restrict your imagination! Products just need to be new, unused and sealed if appropriate.
