Principal's Report
Floriade Community - mini working bee
We ended last week in a flurry of gardening as the school took on the task of planting 2080 bulbs, 2080 annuals and move 5m3 of sand into the sandpit. It was a monumental task that we achieved with the help of Mr Owen, Mr Shanahan (Miss Shanahan's Dad), Mr Kahlil (a Year 5 parent) and our incredible staff and students. It will be so rewarding to see our bulbs grow over the next few months before the rose garden explodes in a sea of flowers.
Parent Teacher Interviews
Parent Teacher Interviews for this term can now be booked in Compass. Interviews are taking place on Monday 23 - Wednesday 25 of June. The interview is an opportunity for you to hear of your child's progress this semester in anticipation of the Semester One reports being released on Friday 27 June.
Centred in Learning Gathering Postponed
We will not be having a Centred in Learning Gathering this Friday due to the Athletics Carnival taking place at Merici. We will therefore award two sets of affirmations in Week 9. These affirmations will be published in More News in two weeks.
Cyber Safety Workshop
On Tuesday 24 June from 5:00pm - 6:00pm Penny Vanzwol will be hosting a Cyber Safety Workshop as part of her role as Student Welfare Office. The workshop will be a practical time spent with your child discussing your families approach to cyber safety and making goals moving forward. It is sure to be a useful time spent that will have a direct impact on your child/ren in the home and online.
Open Council Meeting
Following the Cyber Safety Workshop on Tuesday 24 June we will hold our second Open Council Meeting for 2025. The meeting will be an opportunity for community members to give feedback on the proposed changes that will be made to our top carpark so that we can improve student safety and implement a designated drop off and pick up point. Childcare will be available on the evening for families who have attended our Cyber Safety Workshop.
School Fees
Term 2 school fees are now due. Please ensure you have paid you fees in full or set up a suitable payment system.
