Centred in Learning through the Arts

In the Arts this term Kindergarten to Year 2 have been centred in learning by linking their learning in Italian to the Arts. We have been learning about using different materials and techniques. We made collage butterflies inspired by “Il Brucco Molto affamato” which translates to the very Hungry Caterpillar and pesciolini paintings inspired by a song we have learnt in Italian. Years 3-4 and 5-6 have been focusing on identity; creating self-portraits, murals of their names and are currently working on a mixed media abstract artwork of a place they consider special.
